...Stress Management

Due to a variety of socio-economic conditions, stress has now become more widely recognised by both individuals and employers. People in the UK lose several thousand days of work to excess stress, not to mention the great personal anxiety that it can lead to. Stress can contribute to health problems such as asthma, eczema, head aches, migraines, high blood pressure and heart disease. Stress can also cause relationship problems, depression and in extreme circumstances suicide.
Many situations can lead to the development of the symptoms of excess stress including fear, overwork, responsibility, loss, lack of fulfillment and illness. Every individual has different tolerance levels when it comes to stress. The therapeutic needs of the individual are paramount in the treatment of stress and stress related disorders. Willpower alone is not an effective or permanent solution to stress problems.
Hypnotherapy is very effective in treating stress related conditions. It teaches your subconscious mind to remain calm and in control when encountering stressful conditions. As well as one to one sessions you may also consider learning self-hypnosis which will give you an invaluable and on going tool to use everyday. See my Self-Hypnosis page for more details.
